An enriching summer experience for local string players ages 8-18!
Why Summer String Camp?
Any string player with at least one year of experience will benefit from this amazing annual summer camp!
It’s a fun reason to keep playing your instrument during summer break, and is a great way to experience what the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus has to offer!
What happens during the week?
Daily activities include:
• Daily fiddling sessions w/ guest artist
• Free final concert in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall
• Daily sectionals w/ music educators
• Practice performing from memory
• Daily orchestra & chamber rehearsals
• Improvisation instruction

What's included in tuition?
Tuition for the week-long camp is $300* and provides the following:
Five days of professional
coaching, including daily sectional rehearsals
A folder with sheet music for the week
Five meals (Monday-Friday), including an afternoon snack
A fun Camp T-Shirt at the end of the week!
