Frank Schley and Jim Pharr are one of three teams competing to be the next Maestro for a Moment. The winning team will conduct the finale on April 18th at the Maestro for a Moment concert at RiverCenter. All proceeds from Maestro for a Moment benefit the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus.
Frank Schley builds custom guitars with his company Silvan Guitars. He has a special line called the Damcasters that are made from wood salvaged from the Chattahoochee Dams that were dismantled to make way for the whitewater rafting course. Frank’s guitars travel around the world. The local Irish band Wolf & Clover also uses the third acoustic guitar ever built from scratch and the first mandocello ever made by Frank. Frank also enjoys going to local restaurants, concerts, rock climbing, and running.
